April 2026 Update

4 dancers in yellow and orange dresses moving through a northern forested area

It is snowing, big flakes, covering the bare ground. Winter lingers here at 1800'. The bird feeders are crowded with Evening Grosbeaks as well a whole host of others. Two ducks landed on the pond. In Middlebury, I found some pussy willows (see below). We are still awaiting the arrival of wood frogs who are a clear harbinger of spring.
This upcoming weekend, the entire ensemble of 20 will gather for our first rehearsal, two full days in the town hall for the dancers and musicians with the narrators joining us on Sunday. It is exciting to be in this chapter of the work, fully engaged in the creative process made visible by the skillful performers. Forest has been in progress for nearly two years and now comes the hand off to those who will take it and bring it to the next level.
Next month, you will get information about the sites, ticket sales, merchandise (just kidding) and details specific to Forest.

Here is one of Jude Domski’s clips of the Suitcase from September. I love the dry humor of this scene.

Here is the link to online giving through Zeffy. 100% of your gift goes to Cradle to Grave Arts, Inc and on to the artists. You understand the importance of art in this particularly challenging time. It has the power to change minds, hearts, and thus our society.

Gratefully,  Hannah
