Forest is a site-specific contemporary dance/theatre piece designed for four woodlands in east Central Vermont to be performed in 2026. 

It is being created by Hannah Dennison, partnered by Leslie Anderson, Matt LaRocca, Steve Long, and Jessie Owens with creative input from Ellen Smith Ahern, Julia Barstow, Judith Chalmer, Jude Domski, Lukas Huffman and Chloe Schafer. It will be performed by an ensemble of 20 dancers/musicians illuminating numerous places in the forest next to the quiet, seldom-traveled dirt road. The audience will be transported slowly along the woods road, watching each scene develop, learning about the forest along the way. Forest will celebrate the flora and fauna, the trees, the water, and air, and animate the relationship between art, people and nature.
